CALIBRE 3085

Introduction and Launch: The Rolex calibre 3085 is a self-winding movement used in the GMT-Master II and Explorer II, notable for being the first to feature an independently adjustable GMT hand. Measuring 6.3mm thick, its introduction to the GMT-Master II earned the watch the nickname "Fat Lady." Despite its innovation, the calibre 3085 had a relatively short production run from 1983 to 1989.
