CALIBRE 1166

Introduction and Launch: The Rolex calibre 1166 is an automatic movement introduced in 1967 and used in Oyster Perpetual Date models throughout the 1960s and 1970s. As the Lady-Datejust and midsize Datejust models shared similar case sizes, they also utilised the same self-winding movements. The lineage began with calibre 1135 in 1957, which was later succeeded by calibre 1166, continuing Rolex’s commitment to precision and reliability.
