When it comes to luxury brands, Rolex and Tiffany & Co. are often the first names that comes to mind – and for good reason.
As the largest and most significant watch brand in the world, Rolex has set the standard high when it comes to class, style, and precision.
While Tiffany, founded in 1837, is a luxury and lifestyle brand, best known for its stunning range of jewellery and homeware, gaining a reputation for excellence and craftsmanship and becoming the go-to jeweller for royalty and celebrities around the world.
In the 1950’s, Rolex struck a deal with Tiffany & Co, allowing the jewellery company to print its name on the Rolex dials that were sold in its boutiques. The original Tiffany-signed Rolex dials were completed by hand at their flagship store in New York City. This printing was then extended to other retail stores and then eventually to Tiffany’s service centres.
In the early 1990s, Rolex made the decision to stop supplying co-branded watches, and would no longer honour warranties if the dial stampings had been carried out at a Tiffany & Co. location. As a result, Tiffany & Co. stopped selling Rolex watches, and the two companies parted ways for good.
While the more recent “Tiffany Blue” dials share a resemblance to the Tiffany & Co. turquoise colour pallet, contrary to popular belief the two companies actually have no commercial link. Instead, it was simply Rolex’s way of releasing a colourful model in line with their 2020 collection update.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is one of the more popular timepieces in their collection, having been around since the 1950’s it’s evolution has been subtle but assured.
That was, until 2020, when Rolex surprised the watch world by introducing a new selection of Oyster Perpetual timepieces which incorporated bright and bold new dial colours.
People referred to these new colours as “Stella dials” due to their similarity to the original Stella dials that Rolex created for the Day-Date and Oyster Date collections in the 1970’s.
One particular dial that garnered a lot of attention was the “Turquoise blue” dial, also known as the “Tiffany Blue”. With it’s close resemblance to the iconic Tiffany & Co. colour scheme, it’s easy to see why.
Along with new coloured dial, Rolex upgraded the Oyster Perpetual to a 41mm case sizes, effectively retiring the previous 39mm in the process. The collection offered a 28, 31, 34 and 36mm options, however not all of these models featured the beautiful Turquoise blue dial.
Sadly, the 41mm Turquoise blue dial was only available for a short time and has now been discontinued. Only the 31mm and 36mm sizes are still available.
Unsurprisingly, the discontinued 41mm with Turquoise dial has rocketed in price and is now a keen collectors item.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual with “Tiffany Blue” dial is timelessly stylish and guaranteed to impress. The clean, modern lines of the case paired with the stainless steel Oyster bracelet gives the watch a classic look that oozes sophistication.

It is powered by an automatic movement, has a Twinlock waterproof screw-down crown and has a water-resistant rating of up to 100 meters, making it suitable for a range of activities from dress occasions to beach days.
Each model features the ever-refined Oystersteel three-link Oyster bracelet with folding Oysterclasp for added assurance on the wrist.
The previous 3130 calibre was replaced by the newer advanced calibre 3230 in 2020. Bringing with it a longer 70 hour power reserve (compared to the previous 48 hour power reserve), providing more resistance to shocks and magnetic fields thanks to the patented Chronergy escapement.
The 41mm and 36mm Oyster Perpetual use the calibre 3230, while the rest of the Oyster Perpetual family relies on the smaller calibre 2232 movement – another new release in 2020. It features a 55-hour power reserve and a new Syloxi hairspring for greater anti-magnetism and better resistance to temperature variations and shocks.
This stunning Rolex Oyster Perpetual 124300 features a 41mm case made from Rolex’s signature Oystersteel. Complementing the domed bezel is the scratch resistant sapphire glass crystal. The bracelet is also made of Oystersteel and fastened with Oysterclasp.
