The “Automatic” in its name refers to the Omega caliber 3220, an ETA-based automatic movement with a Dubois Dépraz chronograph module, providing a set-and-forget convenience. While featuring aesthetic differences like spread-out subdials and the inclusion of “Automatic” under Speedmaster at 12 o’clock, the Speedmaster Reduced retained the unmistakable DNA of the Speedy, including the black dial, black aluminum tachymeter bezel, Hesalite crystal, and the distinctive twisted lugs.
Discontinued in 2010, the Speedmaster Reduced has gained a cult following among enthusiasts seeking a practical and wearable version of the iconic Speedmaster.
