The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 311.30.42.30.03.001 Apollo XVII limited to 1,972 pieces, commemorates the 45th anniversary of the 1972 moon landing. Encased in a 42 mm stainless steel case with a polished blue ceramic bezel and OMEGA Ceragold™ tachymeter scale, the watch features a blue ceramic dial with 18K yellow gold indexes.
Super-LumiNova-coated “Moon” hands, subdials with 18K yellow gold or varnished matt white hands, and a central chronograph hand with a red tip enhance visibility. Notably, the “05:34 GMT” in red marks the moment Gene Cernan took the last step on the moon. The 9 o’clock subdial showcases a representation of the God Apollo and the moon in PVD chrome.
The watch is completed with a stainless steel bracelet and is powered by the iconic OMEGA calibre 1861. The caseback is engraved with “45th ANNIVERSARY,” “Limited Edition,” a unique number, and features an embossed Apollo XVII patch, “APOLLO XVII,” and “a tribute to Gene Cernan.”
